Oaks Mackay Rivermarque Hotel

While the balcony view was excellent and the pool facilities offered a nice spot for relaxation, the room itself fell short of expectations. We received a studio-style apartment instead of the promised one-bedroom, lacking space and storage. Nearby attractions like Artspace Mackay and Pioneer River were enjoyable for family bonding, but the overall upkeep and service left much to be desired.

The location is great and lovely and it is close to the local Canelands shopping centre, the river and walkway and the scenic Blue Water Trail along the river. Stunning and absolutely fantastic rooms complete with an iron, very comfortable bedding, as for instance.

Had very central location near a shopping plaza which is cool if you want to spend money. Further, it was next to restaurants and city centre.

the location is fantastic, and i appreciated the friendly customer service from the reception staff. my room was spacious and well-maintained, although i personally preferred a room with a balcony for more space. it was a bit of a letdown to find my allocated room had a damp carpet smell due to a note left under the air conditioning unit, but overall, the experience was fairly positive.

The rooms are air-conditioned and good quality.

Location: the hotel was so close to restaurants, shopping centre and main shopping street and all restaurants, pubs and the massive Caneland shopping centre, Mackay CBD and the riverside boardwalk. We loved well-appointed and reasonably priced room with a great view and patient staff.

The location is super convenient, just a stone's throw from the city center, making it easy to grab a quick bite or go for a stroll. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the bed was really comfortable, perfect after a long day. Plus, the undercover parking gave me peace of mind, knowing my car was safe!

I did run into a few hiccups. The air conditioning was a bit finicky, and my room wasn’t made up during my stay. I also thought breakfast options could be better. it was a decent experience but could definitely use some improvement!

Location really close to resturants. Exceptional and huge room, with a balcony, climate control and a lounge.

The room itself was a haven, complete with sliding plantation shutters that allowed me to control the natural light. I relished the wonderfully plush towels—big bath sheets that were perfect for wrapping myself in after a refreshing swim. The breakfast selection was equally satisfying, making my mornings start on a high note.

I did notice a slight inconvenience with the Wi-Fi speed, which was occasionally sluggish. While it didn't detract significantly from my overall experience, a faster connection would have been appreciated for planning my day!

My room had a musty smell, and there was mould in the corners. Broken furniture and an uncomfortable bed made it a frustrating experience. Definitely won't be returning!

I was really frustrated when the fire alarm went off at 1 AM, forcing everyone outside for half an hour. They sent us back in, then got us stuck waiting for the fire department-no apologies or offers to make it right!

The location is convenient with nearby food outlets.

The floors were filthy and the curtains were stained. The bed was terrible and made it hard to get a good night's sleep.

Everything felt brand-new and well-maintained, creating a really inviting atmosphere. the rooms were nicely appointed and very clean, which I appreciated. the staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, making my check-in process smooth even late at night. the location is also outstanding, as it's conveniently close to a shopping center with plenty of food options and everything I needed in the unique area.
